The movie is known by all who have been around in the 80’s when interest in UFO’s and other space phenomenon were experiencing a revival. There are a couple of facts that are quite intriguing in the film like the fact Director Spielberg wrote the script during breaks from shooting Indiana Jones. Harrison Ford was also in the film as the school principal but was cut out during editing due to his “distracting” trait maybe because he is one of the hottest male stars with Star Wars and Indiana Jones. ET’s communicator device was an actual scientifically based gadget made by a communications scientist. Yoda, the last Jedi of the Old order in Star Wars made an appearance in the Halloween scene, music from Star Wars Episode V was also heard which was released in 1980.
