The movie was to be the 4th installment for the Die Hard Series as the sub title but was given it’s own niche due to the difference in settings. The film also lost one sky jumper, who dies when he drowned as the stunts were being filmed, landing offshore instead of on the beach. The knives used on the film were also if the Emerson brand being well used in law enforcement and military services. The film was also the first one allowed filming in a Nimitz Class nuclear aircraft carrier. There was also necessary two-week BOOT camp training for the cast as it was necessary for their knowledge of SEAL operations to make the film more realistic. All the SEAL characters were also required to refer to each other by their character names to improve seal interaction on and off the screen.
